Winterizing - Weight in trunk, procuring winter only tires and cheap small rims to mount them on.  I currently have 3 bags of 50 lb. salt in the trunk.  I hope to get some salt/cat litter, as those can be used as traction compound to get unstuck.  Looking over various rims at this time, probably 50 buck apiece US wheels, or junkyard takeoffs.

Update: I have gone through this surprise december snowstorm, and my car has been fine, so I guess I'll leave the rims be.  The weight seems to have taken care of my problems.  However, It has REALLY lowered my rearend.  I'll try and get some pictures up, it is pretty funny looking...

Final: The weight took care of most of the regular difficulties.  One thing that really would have helped me though was the discovery of a great little trick.  I'd always have the problem where I would be braking when I came up to a stop sign, but my car would keep sliding.  Pumping the brakes didn't even help much.  However, you'll note that almost every 3'rd gens rear brakes suck ass.  My brakes wouldn't stop the rearend, so I'd just slide through an intersection.  The way around this is to throw the car into neutral when you are coming to a stop sign.  Works great!
