Movies
If you havent seen any of the following, rent them immediately.

Rent them:

Smokey & The Bandit- If you own a Trans Am, and have not watched and thoroughly enjoyed this movie, you deserve an extensive slapping.

Bullitt- This movie has more excitement per chase minute than any other chase I've seen.  It has a '67 Mustang fastback up against a '68 Charger.  It is simply the greatest.

American Graffitti- This one is superb.  When you're done swimming through the sea of cheesy ground effects, redicuous wings, and 50 horsepower 4 cylinders, take a look at this to see what things were like back in the day, when EVERYTHING was rear wheel drive.

Two Lane Blacktop-  This is a bit of an odder film, a bit more artsy.  Still the only decent street race movie made.  (The Fast and the Furious is coming out, but that only has one Charger with a fake superchager, and it gets rolled.  It has Vin Diesel, so it'll probably be good, but its not the same)

Hollywood Knights-  American Graffiti redone by high school freshman.  A bit annoying in many parts, but it still has some great cars, and is worth watching.  (but how many people in the 60's ran around with superchargers and perfect paint jobs?  None?  Probably!)

Dazed & Confused-  Bad ass movie.  Utterly hilarious.  Not any racing really, but this movie is a good look at when teenagers could actually get cool cars for cheep.

Knight Rider- Older chicks dig David Hasslehof, and it has a talking intelligent 3rd gen.  Amusing.

Gone in 60 Seconds (The original is better, and get it on DVD! the commentary is hilarious and worth the price alone)

Corvette Summer-  Its not a fantastic film, but I was entertained.  Its an interesting portrayl of the late 70s.  Plus, Anne Potts is young, more hot, and getting naked.  Its pretty sweet.  This number also stars Luke Skywalker himself, and that mean skin job from Blade Runner is in here.

Last Action Hero- Not exactly a car movie, but it is good anyway, and it has some awsome chase scenes.

Other movies that are a good use of your time:

Hackers-  Mere words cannot describe it.  Rent it NOW!

Brazil, Time Bandits, Munchowsen- And anything else by Terry Gilliam.  For that trippin while totally undrugged feeling.

Haven't seen, but look worthwhile:

The California Kid
(Martin Sheen in a flamed '32 po'ed at sherrif)

For the Very First Time
(Jew and Catholic dating in 60s.  Seems very similar to American Graffiti.  If anyone knows where this is, let me know!)
